We’re proud to announce the release of Brand New Day, the brilliant new album from Austin, TX’s premiere garage band, The Ugly Beats. This is the Beats’ first release since 2010′s MOTOR! and fourth album issued with Get Hip.
“A crackerjack collaboration of melody-mobbed folk pop and pounding garage rock” - Something Else!
“‘Brand New Day,’ the new LP [Ugly Beats] is set to release this week on Get Hip Recordings, is the fourth straight that expertly blends members’ love of ‘60s rock ‘n’ roll with more current power pop and punk elements. It’s 35 minutes without a bum note, even as the band slows the pace down a bit from previous releases to match the roots and rhythm-and-blues talents of newer members Dan Wilcox (guitar) and Bobby Trimble (drums).” - Austin American-Statesman
