This exclusive 7-inch by New Orleans' BIPOLAROID and their debut for Get Hip, was recorded in a pre-World War grocery store turned multi-bedroom house in a once dilapidated area of the Irish Channel in New Orleans, strongly evokes Syd Barrett in both lyrical vision and musical tone. They represent just a glimpse of Bipolaroid’s upcoming album for Get Hip, Twin Language.
Emerging from the swampy depths of the Louisiana bayou, this New Orleans group plays delta psychedelic music influenced by Dr. John the Night Tripper to Syd Barrett/Pink Floyd and the 13th Floor Elevators, delivering odes to time machines, looking glasses, vampires, on both space rockers and more orchestrated pop-psychedelia. Forming in 2002, the band self-released 3 full length LPs, before recording their first effort for Get Hip, Supernatural Beauty 7″. Anchored by drummer King Louie Bankston (Exploding Hearts/Persuaders/Royal Pendeltons), the band has focused its efforts on new and exciting territory with their upcoming LP, Twin Language.
Recorded at 800 Toledano Street in New Orleans, La.
