Live at Get Hip Recordings: Marty Willson-Piper & Friends · Feb. 18

MARTY WILLSON-PIPER & FRIENDS
Live at Get Hip Recordings

·  Sunday, February 18, 2018 ·

Get Hip Recordings is proud to welcome prolific guitarist and singer/songwriter Marty Willson-Piper to the Live stage.

Marty is best known for his work with disparate acts–The Church, All About Eve and The Saints–covering Psychedelia, Goth and Punk with ease. As a songwriter, he has written pieces both for and with Charlie Sexton (Bob Dylan’s guitarist), Aimee Mann, Jules Shear, Linda Perry and Grace Slick from the seminal ‘60s band Jefferson Airplane. He has also become a member of legendary Swedish Progressive band Anekdoten, playing guitar and touring with them all over Europe, Japan and even Armenia.

Most recently, Marty has performed all over the world with his own band, featuring interchangeable lineups. This latest fascinating incarnation features his wife Olivia Willson-Piper on violin and Hannah Moorhead on bass. He will perform an eclectic collection of songs from all aspects of his long history that invites all music lovers to experience Marty as a singer, a songwriter, a guitar player and a storyteller.

Get Hip mainstay Zack Keim will provide an intimate opening set.
